The holidays and work

Celebrated Thanksgiving with dinner at Borbon Street with all of the trimmings. Real Turkey (not a popular Food item over here) with real mash potatoes. Was really good especially after a long day of work.

December 5th was Father's Day which is celebrated on the King's birthday. He turned 78 and looked pretty good until recently. Looks a little pail and fragile at times. The next year will be his 60th year on the throne which is the longest reign of any of the current monarchs. At this bar I go to there is a picture of the King and Elvis. It was taken when Elvis was in the army.

Currently working at three locations. Teaching basic and advanced basic at Hoya Lens. This position carries over for two days in January and is finished. Now also working at Canon two nights a week and these go until June. These are business English classes. One is very basic and the other is intermediate. The third position is in Bangkok and meets twice a week (ends on December 26th). Teaching 5 Thai women Business English.

I have a few days off around the first of the year. Plan on renting a car for a week and traveling the ways and byways of the Thai countryside. Will tell me you more later. Also going to Penom Phen in February. Will tell you more later.
